Brothers and sisters, please forgive my lack of postings over the past two weeks. The demands of my secular employment have been pressing during these times and it has been all I can do to serve the liturgy at the mission while trying to keep my head above water!

The Lord’s prayer, said at the mid-day meal is also appropriate for prayer before breakfast. But all meals should also be followed by a Thanksgiving for the gifts which God has bestowed upon us and which we have consumed. The following prayer can be said after breakfast or lunch. |

Prayer: We thank you, Christ our God, for you have satisfied us with earthly gifts. Do not deprive us of your heavenly kingdom, but as you, O Savior, came among your disciples and gave them peace, come among us also and save us. Amen. |
